This issue is about the relationship between architecture and museums and contains a report called “The museum and its building, architecture, projects and urban regeneration.” We are aware that debate generated by this subject is both topical and important.

Different professionals of recognised prestige participated in this report. They provided an interdisciplinary vision of the subject and analysed it from different perspectives: the role of the architect; urban regeneration; and the opening up of museums in Spain today. Contributors to architectural articles include those responsible for the Almeria Museum Project or the extension of the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum in Cordoba, the winners of the competition held by the Iberian Art Museum in Jaén, and comments by Rafael Moneo and Luis Enguita Mayo. From the world of research and university, contributors included: Javier Gómez Martínez, J. Pedro Lorente, Mª Ángeles Layuno Rosas and Alfredo Taján. From the perspective of museum practice and management, contributors included: Mercedes Mudarra Barrero and Mª Dolores Baena Alcántara.

Notable in the rest of the contents of edition 4, is an interview with Valie Export, taken from the VALIE EXPORT exhibition catalogue, A day in 1967; analyses of CAC Malaga or the Capc of Bordeaux; articles such as those about intangible heritage or film successes in nationalist Andalusia; the study on the art collection of  Moreno Villa in the Museum of Malaga; a review of graphic art terminology; a biographical profile of Luis Siret; and finally, descriptions and comments on projects, exhibitions, activities and news.

In this edition, mus-A, which has become a prestigious benchmark within specialised publications, continues to work to become a vehicle for revitalising Andalusian museum institutions that is open to a wide readership, diverse and universal.
